HOW FLOOD STOP WORKS
When Flood Stop™ barriers come into contact with fresh water, they begin absorbing immediately. Within minutes, the specially engineered super-absorbent polymer expands, transforming each lightweight bag into a heavy, stable flood barrier.
Once activated, barriers can be laid, stacked and positioned around doorways, garages, sheds, roller doors and other vulnerable areas to help slow, divert and reduce the flow of floodwater.

Why They Work
Activates in just minutes
No sand required — lightweight and easy to store
Up to 10-year shelf life and easy for one person to deploy
Helps divert and reduce floodwater intrusion
The Technology Behind Flood Stop™
Inside every Flood Stop™ barrier is a specially formulated super-absorbent polymer that can absorb many times its own weight in water. As it expands, the barrier becomes heavy and stable, allowing it to remain in position and work together with other barriers to form a temporary flood defence.
The expanding core creates a dense, flexible barrier that conforms to the ground, helping reduce gaps where water could enter.
IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION
Do not stand on barriers
Activated barriers can become slippery when wet. Keep clear and do not walk or stand on them.
Fresh water only
Flood Stop barriers do not activate in salt water. Plan deployment around fresh or brackish water conditions.
Biodegradable contents
The barrier’s absorbent contents are biodegradable. After use, follow local waste guidance, especially if floodwater has contaminated the barrier.
Plan ahead for the strongest protection.
Flood Stop™ barriers are designed to help reduce and divert floodwater. They are not intended to completely stop flooding in all circumstances. For the best protection, deploy barriers before floodwater reaches the property and use them as part of an overall flood preparedness plan.
